In Cast Resin Transformers, type of conductors used are mainly aluminium or copper foil for LV and aluminium or copper strip foil, flat and round for HV windings. Filled resin system with quartz powder and unfilled resin reinforced with glass fibre system are used for casting technology. The techologies for LV windings are prepreg and casted under vacuum depends on the customer request and specification.
