Magnetic Core Manufacturing:
In BEST, high quality cold rolled silicon steel used for magnetic
cores of the transformers.Silicon steel rolls cut by modern
lamination cutting machines. Then steel sheets stacked by qualified
specialists. Modern stacking techniques such as Step-Lap applied.Transformer
core is ready to sent to assembly shop.
Winding Manufacturing:
Low voltage windings of the distribution transformers are
wound in foil type.Foil winding machine used in BEST. High
voltage windings are wound in cylindrical winding machines.
Different winding techniques are used in BEST according to
rated power, voltage and vector group of the transformers.
Assembly:
Magnetic core, windings and other parts are assembled in Assembly
shop. Before filling the transformer with oil, the actice
part is dried in the oven under the kerosine vapour at high
temperature (135 C max) and full vacuum.
Tank Manufacturing:
Transformer tank, cover, oil conservator and main metalic
parts are also manufactured in the BEST by advanced techniques.
Plasma cutting machine is used to process cover holes and
some other parts such as fixing parts and lifting lugs. Sandblasting
cleaning process is applied to the tank and cover of the transformers
and if required they are also treated with chemical cleaners.They
are degrased and phosphated by hot water solution spraying
against rust and corrosion.
BEST, now, with our new mechanical factory has a capacity to manufacture all kind of mechanical parts (tanks, covers, conservators, etc.) up to 32T weights, i.e. up to 600 MVA.
